Ferdous Ahmed

Ahmed dancing at a programme in 2016 Ferdous Ahmed (born 7 June 1974) is a Bangladeshi film actor, producer, and politician. He served as an MP representing the Dhaka-10 constituency.

His work includes ''Hothat Brishti'' (1998), ''Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti'' (2003), ''Chandrokotha'' (2003), ''Nondito Noroke'' (2006), ''Amar Swapna Tumi'' (2005), ''Moner Manush'' (2010), and ''Guerrilla'' (2011). He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actor five times for his roles in the films ''Hothat Brishti'' (1998), ''Gangajatra'' (2009), ''Kusum Kusum Prem'' (2011), ''Ek Cup Cha'' (2014) and ''Putro'' (2018).

Although he struggled as a lead actor with flop films such as ''Modhu Purnima'', ''Raj Golam'', ''Miss Diana'', ''Biplopi Jonota'', ''Bou Hobo'' , ''Pritbhi Amare Chai Na'', ''Ei Mon Chai Je'' and ''Bolo Na Bhalobashi', his career finally took a turn with in early 2000's successful films such as ''Premer Jala'', ''Joto Prem Toto Jala'', ''Bostir Meye'', ''Fuler Moto Bou'', ''Jibon Shimante '', ''Rani Khutir Bakhi Itihas'', ''Karagar'', ''Dil To Pagal'', ''Biyanshab'', ''Dukhini Johora'' , ''Kheya Ghater Majhi'', ''Sontan Jokhon Shotru'', ''Moynamotir Songshar'', ''Sonar Moyna Pakhi'', ''Shami Niye Juddho'' , ''Bou Shashurir Juddho''.

Onto 2005 to 2010, he kept his prominence with different types of characters in another wave of successful films such as ''Na Bolo NA'', ''Dui Noyoner Alo'', ''Ek Buk Jala'' , ''Tui Jodi Amar Hoiti Re'', ''A Chokhe Sudhu Tumi '', ''Jamela Sundori'', ''Ziddi Bou'', ''Bristhi Bheja Akash'', ''Bindur Chele'' , & ''Golapi Ekhon Bilatey''.

Known for his ability to adapt different characters in each films, he has earned the tag of perfectionist as he has proven that there is no need to be a typical fighting type hero to be a stop star. Due to this, he has drawn comparisons to other great lead artists such as * Abdur Razzak, * Farooque, and * Bulbul Ahmed. His foray into Indian Bengali films have made him a undisputable figure in the international scenes as well.
