Summary:Software configuration management for the maintenance activity IS a very complex process and require considerably large financial allocation. Complexity level and financial requirement would become higher should the maintenance is collaboratively done by geographically isolated groups. Most of the current software maintenance configuration management systems and methods do not give enough attention towards dynamic aspects of information management such as the integration of status and temporal base elements for the associated data. Hence, this thesis present a new method for software maintenance configuration management which based on the activity status and temporal information. The configuration items involve here is a 'change request management process and software version management. Temporal element such as transaction time and valid time is the main attribute considered, to be inserted into software maintenance management databases. The considered activity status aspect is base on each existing activity point for the item configuration management process. The integration of the status and temporal based information management elements will help the people involved in the maintenance project to organize data and perform activity monitoring for the configuration items involved. For the purpose of collaborative activity management, a specific software has been develop which capitalize internet technology which runs on full web environment and known as SKiT.
