Despite the numerous research works on entrepreneurial intention, some gaps that needed to be addressed were detected in the course of literature survey. Hitherto, researchers focused on studying the construct from dimensions other than the socio-cultural business environment which portends a highly promising solution to the problem of poor entrepreneurship drive. Literature survey revealed that education, religion and family background are the most popular components of the socio-cultural business environment. Thus, the emergence of the objectives as follows; to investigate the impact of education, religion and family background on entrepreneurial intention. The study followed quantitative methodology to achieve its objectives. A closed-ended questionnaire was adapted and administered to 322 final year students from Bayero University Kano, Northwest University Kano and Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was employed in the study and for this reason AMOS was used to analyse the data. Results revealed that education has no significant impact on entrepreneurial intention, religion has a highly significant impact on entrepreneurial intention and family background has a significant impact on entrepreneurial intention. In view of these results, the study recommended that an overhaul of the educational curriculum in order to absorb more entrepreneurial driving courses is necessary. Religious leaders should be more actively involved in the development of entrepreneurial development framework in order to allow them have a say and partake in the propagation of entrepreneurship and self-employment. Traditional rulers (Emirate councilor Sultanate council) which is the root and main source of societal norms and values from where families adopt, should also be involved in the development of framework and campaign for entrepreneurship so as to make families see more reasons why they should embrace entrepreneurship and encourage it.
