| Summary: | Almighty Allah does not endow human kind with intellect and thinking ability for him to be arrogant and proud. Rather he is given such grace in order to worship Allah, and use it for the betterment of his society. Life cannot go smoothly without a positive and sound thinking. Thus this work aims at studying the concept and significance of positive thinking in the light of the Qur'ān. Also, it shall consider its benefits and types, as well as the intellectual abilities as enshrined in the Qur'ān. It is hoped that, this will be useful for society in the course of building a methodology for positive thinking. It is axiomatic that man cannot live aloof from the society; for society is composed of individuals with differences peculiar to each and every member. On this basis, the study aspires to propound principles of positive thinking and its application in line with the Qur'ānic paradigm. With this, an individual will be able to build his personality and identity, and develop his intellectuality and thought. So that he can live in the society and contribute his quota to its development. In the same token, the principles are applied to society, trying to ensure that it becomes open to people of different backgrounds; accords them respect regardless of race and color; overlooks lapses however huge; co-exists in all aspects of life and lends helping hands in difficult situation. No doubt, positive thinking can be regarded as a veritable resource for the Ummah. The entire human race can co-exist and live peacefully, if these resources are well tapped. This is what the current work seeks to prove. |
