| 520 | |a The objective of this study is to find out opinions and views of Muslim Jurisprudents on beauty and its processes that can serve as important guidelines to the contemporary society, especially in dealing with the emergence of various beauty products and processes involved in beauty treatments among women. This thesis consists of four main chapters; Chapter One focuses on the proposal and general framework, including the statement of problems, research objectives, research questions, literature review and research methodology. Chapter Two consists of the definition and concept of beauty and its acceptability from the Islamic point of view which is substantiated with evidences from various Islamic sources of legislation. In the Chapter Three the opinions of Muslim Jurisprudents on various types of processes of beauty treatments are presented. It focuses on different opinions and reasons among women to maintain their beauty. Finally, the last chapter elaborates the Islamic principles and guidelines on beauty processes, with regard to the cosmetic's manufacture and service of consumerism and society. This study adopts the inductive and analytical methods, and uses primary and secondary resources in order to identify the opinions, which are acceptable in Islam on the aforementioned issues. At the end of the study, it proffers several suggestions and evaluations that might be useful to the readers. | ||
