| الملخص: | This study introduces Imam Mazari, and analytically examines his book “Mu'lim bi
Fawa’id Muslim”. The researcher followed the historical-descriptive approach with
regard to the life of the author and the context of his book. The analytical approach
was employed to study the methodology of Mazari in interpreting Sahih Muslim, his
commentary on the Prophetic sayings and their chains of narration. The researcher
first highlights the life of Imam Mazari, and then explains the importance of his book
“Mu'lim bi Fawa’id Muslim” . A study of the methodology of the book is also
detailed, followed by a study of Mazari’s examination of the Hadith and its chain of
narration, with sufficient examples. The researcher ends the study with results and
conclusions that can be summarized in two main points: First, Imam Mazari is not
just a Hadith scholar and narrator; he is also a jurisprudent, a theologian, a physician,
a man of letters, and a mathematician. Second, his book “Mu'lim bi Fawa’id Muslim”
is one of the first interpretations of Sahih Muslim , because the preceding books in
this regard mainly concentrated on terminology and vocabulary, and not on actual
interpretation. |
