Summary: | This study analyses describe the training programmes of Arabic teachers at the
Religious Islamic Schools in Malacca state. The researcher adopted a descriptive
method to study these programmes, and conducted a field survey at seven religious
schools in order to assess these implementation. The researcher arrived at a number of
results that showed the necessity of continuous training programmes for the
improvement of the teachers’ performance, and attributed the decline of Arabic
Language in religious schools to the fact that the majority of their teachers are not
specialized in Arabic. The conclusion presented a number of suggestions and
recommendations including the importance of teachers’ training and diversified
training methods, as well concentrated workshops for developing the teachers’
performance. |
