Description
Summary:This study aims at expounding the Qur’anic methodological approaches that firmly establish the ethics of financial transaction, a feature that shows the Qur’an's great concern with this sensitive side of human life. To accomplish this objective, the study follows the inductive method to explore the Qur’anic verses that deal with different aspects of financial transactions, and to study the relevant Qur’anic exegeses on the topic. Besides, the researcher employs the analytical method to analyze and study in depth the relevant verses, and to apply them on the Qur’anic methodology that authenticates the ethics of the financial transaction. The study concludes that the Qur’an pays great attention to this issue through a wise methodology. Indeed, it starts its firm drive to establish the ethics of financial transaction by ordering discard of its shortcomings, and adherence to its advantages, and by a gradual legislation of some of its laws. Similarly, the Qur’an associates the ethics of financial transaction with the ‘aqidah and its spiritual and social objectives and implications. Moreover, it introduces these ethos in the context of other obligatory rules and Qur’anic narratives, and, most importantly, employs varying styles to confirm them, e.g. exhortation and reprimanding, commands and prohibitions. Additionally, it utilizes the method of exposition and repetition, as well as brief and detailed descriptions in dealing with the ethics of financial transaction
