總結:This study aims at compiling the exegetical narrations by Wahab Ibn Munabbih across the Qur'anic Chapters based on al-Tabari's Qur'anic exegesis. It is also designed to explicate the positions taken by some other exponents of the Qur'anic exegesis about the veracity of these narrations in view of the narrator's reputation for narrating large number of Isra'iliyyat. The study uses analytical inductive and historical methods of research to accomplish the topic. The most important findings of the study includes: First, the reason why Wahab engages in Isra'ili narrations stems from the fact that he, in terms of reading, was widely read in Jewish writings. Accordingly, this fact has caused controversy among the scholars about his credibility. However, this study found him to be a credible narrator as testified by numerous biographers. Second, the study concludes that among one hundred four Isra'ili narrations by Wahab most of them are authentic. Lastly, the study expounds the issue of Isra'ili narrations as contained in al-Tabari's exegesis with the specific purpose of determining theacceptable and unacceptable narrations by Wahab.
