The objectives of this study were: (i) to examine the representation of Muslims and Islam by The Times in term of news framing; (ii) to find out what images of Muslims and Islam were most commonly propagated in The Times; and (iii) to identify the aspects of Muslims and Islam within the coverage of political and religious issues. The theory that was being used for this research is the Media Framing Theory. In the media framing theory, the media produce news, but news does not stand alone; whereby it is constructed from everyday events and it is the result of subjective decisions of newsmakers. A sample of 102 news articles was used for quantitative content analysis. The result of this study showed that majority of the issues related to Muslims and Islam that was covered in The Times newspaper is more on political frame compared to religious frame. Besides, the aspects of Muslims and Islam were identified within the coverage of political issues were more on the concern of Jihad, terrorism, Muslim dress, national security, Muslim culture and war. Finally, there were few suggestions that can be employed in order to improve the news reporting on the representation of Muslims and Islam in British media.
