| 總結: | This research studies the letters of congratulations and condolences from the book of
Tashil al-sabil ilā taallum al-tarsil (Paving the Way to Learning the Art of Letter
Writing) which was written by Abu 'Abdallah al-Humaydi, the well-known historian
and man of letters of Andalus (d.488 H). The book contains literary examples of
private correspondence or letter used in the fifth century of the Hijra. The focus of this
study is to explain the concept of al-Tahani (Congratulations) and al-Ta'azi
(Condolences), and examine its usage in various occasions found in Tashil al-sabil.
The study also discusses the contents of those letters, and analyzes the language styles
and rhetorical aspects of al-Humaydi 's works by giving related examples. |
