Description
Summary:This research aims at studying the mystical dimension and its relationship with Tawhid in the eye of Al-Harawi Ansari, Ibn Taymiyyah Al-Harani and Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah. Three main ideas namely Tawhid Shuhwadi (Unification by Witnessing) which presupposes annihilation, Tawhid Khabari (Unification based on Tradition) which requires surrender and submission to revelation and tradition and Tawhid Iradi (Unification by Will) which is the submission of one's will to the Divine Commandments are analyzed as well as the different aspects of states and stations comprising the position of ethics in their mystical mind. Three methods are employed in this study: firstly a descriptive analytical approach of ideas and concepts found in their selected works, secondly an internal critical approach of their own position and finally a comparative approach among their own trends are positively and negatively evaluated. The researcher finds their disagreement in identifying and defining the main Unification in all its perfection and imperfection and their consensus pertaining the prohibition of Ta'wil of Tawhid Khabari as well as their consensus on the matter of ethical mysticism.
