520 |a It has been observed over the years that certain disparity exist in the quantum of information imparted onto the B.A Degree Arabic Language students including the method adopted from one university to another. This variation in the information and the module operandi reflect on the graduants when they get to the labour market. The thesis therefore, examines B.A Arabic Language Degree Programmes of Islamic Universities with special reference to Islamic University Niger, and International Islamic University Malaysia, in reference to the curriculum, modules, and methods of implementing them as well as mode of evaluating students. It also examines the conditions of the universities with regards to their landscape and facilities, administration and allied matters. This is done via related publications and trough interview conducted with Academic and Administrative Personnels from Arabic Department of both selected universities, as well as questionaire administered in the two universities. Analysis of findings revealed similarities of curriculum and methods of implementation much as there are lots of marked differences in some areas. Based on the findings, conclusion was reached much as recommendations were made, all of which are aimed at providing reference material for Islamic Universities, researchers and scholars.
