| Summary: | The research discusses the effect of Qira´at on the book of tafsir “al-Bahr al-Muhit” by Imam Abu Hayyan al-Andalusi - an analytical study of tafsir in Surah al-Baqarah - besides explaining the background of Imam Abu Hayyan al-Andalusi, his method in interpreting the Holy Quran, his stance and position of Qira´at in his book of tafsir, and indicating the exceptional elements of Surah al-Baqarah. Apart from that, the research highlights the importance of Qira´at and its effect in interpreting the verses of the Holy Quran, especially the verses on Islamic law. Therefore, this study is conducted through inductive and analytic approaches by collecting the related information and data on the effect of Qira´at in interpreting the verses of Quran in language perspective, the verses of Quran that are related to Fiqh, and also to I'tiqad. This study can be summarized with several important results including how different Qira´at can lead to different interpretations and the importance of Qira´at in interpreting the verses of Quran which counts as part of the required knowledge for an interpreter. |
