This research discusses the potential of ecotourism at a broader level that utilizes Malaysian rainforest biodiversity. This research emphasizes on the nature trail as one of the eco-tourism products highlighting the facilities management of the nature trail. Thus, three objectives are adopted as the main focus of this research, which are 1) to investigate visitors/tourists' perceptions with regards to the nature trail facilities at Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve, 2) to examine the potential and weaknesses of the Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve nature trails, and 3) to recommend measures to further enhance the nature trail and its facilities as to attract visitors/tourists not only within Klang Valley but also from other areas. For the methodology, the research employed qualitative and quantitative methods which consist of the survey questionnaire, site visits, observations and interviews. The findings of the survey and the site visits show that there are significant relationship between facilities management and tourists' perceptions towards the nature trails in which their preferences on the attractions influence their experiences of the surroundings, comfort and satisfaction, which eventually determined their decision for the next visit. The results highlight the issues with the entrance, information boards, support facilities, pathways and maintenance. Hence, the facilities management plays an important role. It minimized the negative impacts and optimized the potentials of Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve, as ecotourism asset and product that would encourage more visits in future.
