Description
Summary:This thesis analytically examines the methods of teaching the Holy Quran through means of recitation, memorization and contemplation. The researcher emphasizes mostly on the analysis and important teaching skills in teaching, especially the skills of impacting the Holy Quran. The Quranic memorization skills and techniques which help in effective memorization ae reported. The importance of this topic is apparent, thus this study on the methods of teaching the Holy Quran. This is necessary for teachers to follow as they are similar to the methods of the Prophet (PBUM) in teaching the Quran, and seriousness of giving priority to these skills and ignoring others. It illustrates the proper way which combines recitation, memorization and contemplation. This study followed the inductive method by referring to the literatures that highlight contemplation of the Quran by tracing the analytical methodology of some schools of thought, through the interpretation of intellectual applications and skills used in teaching the Quran. The researcher arrived at some conclusions: the skills of teaching the Quran are multiple and different from one teacher to another, but they are often confined to a situation. However, high proficiency skills in memorization have appeared like Ashanaqitha's way and Alqasimiyah methodology. In the consideration of the Quran, however, similar efforts need to be made in the field of contemplation although there are directions improving this aspect with the appearance of associations and institutes that specialize in such consideration. The best method is the combination of those skills. It requires a lot of effort from us to establish and spread among Quranic teachers and students.
