520 |u This research aims to study the needs of Arabic Language teachers in classroom instruction in primary schools. In particular, the study attempts to identify their needs in the recruitment of Arabic language instruction using multimedia in the j-QAF programme in government primary schools in Malaysia. The study population includes some randomly selected teachers who participate in the j-QAF programme, that specifically 4 7 teachers who attended the Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia in Bangi. Questionnaires that were distributed to them consisted information on teachers' motivation, professional goals, use and access to technology, confidence level, and student use of technology in the classroom. The most important results indicate that teachers have strong desires and urgent needs to use multimedia in the classroom to enhance the teaching and learning processes. As a result of this analysis, the researcher has prepared an example programme for the recruitment of teaching Arabic Language using multimedia for first year primary students having taken into account the needs of these teachers as well as to apply the theory of learning through multimedia developed by Mayer. The programme is a sample reflecting the practical side of ADDIE model to design a teaching and learning programme.  |a
