Summary: | The overall aim of this research is to indicate the concept of teaching Arabic to nonnative speakers, and explain its various elements as objectives and aims of education for both Arabic Language teachers as well as learners of a second language, the teaching methods, different evaluation and assessment, and the specialized curriculum in this field. There is also an overview on the issues relating to terms and Arabic knowledge based methodology for the development of the terminology. Analytical approach was used by the researcher by extrapolating terms aided by fundamental references and books from Arabic Language encyclopaedias, dictionaries of Arabic grammar and rhetoric Arabic and Arabic literature designed by Arabic language experts in the Arab and Islamic world. Finally, some of the scientific and educational terms were explained by giving the definitions of the terms, and idiomatic expressions, trans-collecting terms for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers as the basic elements of education. The completion of the research generates exhaustive classification of the main and most important terms for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, including the analysis of nearly a hundred terms with the consideration of their translation into the English language. |
