| الملخص: | Basically, this research studies and analyzes the concept of Prophethood in Judaism, Christianity and Islam as expounded by Ibn Kammuna in his book, “Tanqih al-Abhath li al-Milal al-Thalath”. The research also explores issues related to the concept of Prophethood, namely revelation, divine mission, and miracle. It explains in detail the concept of Prophethood in the three aforementioned revealed religions. Also, the researcher provides the biography of Ibn Kammuna by explaining the impact of the environment and era in which he lived on his personality. In the same manner, he explains his method and how it reflects in his study of the concept of Prophethood. The researcher then arrives at a number of findings, recommendations, and suggestions whereby a call was made on other researchers regarding the need for continuous studies of works and methods of scholars in the field of comparative religious study. |
