Therefore, this research focuses on the issues that revolve around the making of Islamic based drama, its meaning, its challenges and the Islamic perspective on the respective area. This research consists of comprehensive discussions on the Islamic ethics or code of conducts pertaining to drama production. Overall, discussions are built and synthesized based on the context of ḥadith and athar which are studied comprehensively from well-known local Islamic genre drama, “Tahajjud Cinta” which acts as the means of evaluation for the authenticity and application of the ḥadith and athar used in the drama. The researcher adapted two methodologies in completing this study. Firstly, inductional approach was used in collecting all ḥadith and athar from the drama. Secondly, through analytical and critical approach, takhrij is used to explain the authenticity or the status of the ḥadĩth and athar. At the end of this research, the researcher found that Islamic Drama is a drama which propagates Islamic values and messages in accordance with Islamic rulings. This research is useful and beneficial in creating the concrete framework for making Islamic based drama. It acts as the reference for all professionals in the entertainment industry. However, the researcher found major mistakes in the recitation of Qur'anic verses and misinterpretation of Qur'anic verses and ḥadith which are used in “Tahajjud Cinta”. | ||
