520 |a This research seeks to develop a curriculum of teaching Arabic in Comoros government secondary schools, in view of the strategic importance of developing the courses to meet the requirements of the age. According to the view of the researcher the curriculum is out dated in years. It also lacks a cultural specification developed by the scientists of education and teaching Arabic language which must be characterized by the good textbooks. the textbook which is used in the first and second levels of government secondary schools in Comoros indicates lack of harmonization in the selection of topics, organization and commensurateness with the level of the student's age, cognitive, and cultural development. However, in order to find out the quality and weakness aspects in that textbook scientifically, the researcher conducted a descriptive and evaluative study. In that manner, the study is calling for the criterion for evaluating the textbooks of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, which developed by Ahmed Rushdi, and other experts concerned the methods of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. After the evaluation study the researcher come to the necessity of reconsidering in the textbook, and reforming not only to improve and develop the teaching Arabic language in Comoros schools, but also to achieve the long-term objectives which the government desires behind the teaching Arabic.
