| الملخص: | Domestic management refers to healthy performance within the family and involves planning and executing measures to supervise the acts of the individuals towards realising legitimate legal (shar'iah) ends. Proper preservation and maintenance of the family is an essential requirement, and a central duty of all parents and those responsible for the family. This requires maintaining orderly internal or external measures. This study adopted the inductive approach whereby we analysed a collection of Qur'anic verses related to the successful management of the family followed by a review of their interpretations to determine the factors for a successful family and those factors that erode and destroy the family institution. This study concludes with the importance of proper family management through internal and external measures. The internal measures comprise of the measure of faith, morality, economy and general housekeeping in terms of cleanliness and purity. The external measures comprise social measures, including the treatment of kinship between neighbours and others. If a successful family is the foundation of the society, its neglect constitutes a threat to the social fabric and its corruption guarantees a corrupt society. |
