Description
Summary:This research aims at studying the psychological construction between peace and anxiety in the Holy Qur'an, focusing on psychological construction, its characteristics, its constituents, and its types. It deals very precisely with the concept and divisions of psychological tranquility and anxiety as described in the Holy Qur'an. The study relied on both the inductive and analytical methods by collecting the related Qur'anic verses on human psyche, its divisions and nature by identifying the relevant verses which indicate, either directly or indirectly, to peace and anxiety, developing the ideas on the basis of the interpretations of the Qur'an as available in the sources today, and deliberating over the verses which show the effects of different types of peace and anxiety on the human psyche. The study reached the conclusion that the Qur'an is replete with methodological guidance related to psychological construction between peace and anxiety, showing the contributing factors for both peace and anxiety and their different dimensions; that the Qur'an deals with the types of peace and anxiety from both physical and moral angles; and that the Qur'an discusses the relationship between peace and anxiety and psychological construction through their positive and negative effects. The study recommends that real psychological construction can only be achieved through positive peace and anxiety which emanate from the teachings of the Holy Qur'an and its illuminated lights.
