| Summary: | The meaning of lexical synonyms is the meaning of the word in the old lexicon, so the modern lexical connotation is the meaning of synonyms from a modern dictionary. This research aims to study the semantics of synonyms in the book “al-'alfaz”--: writing and expression by Ibn Marzuban from the old and modern lexical connotation according to the context. It also aims to study and analyse the synonyms selected with the help of old dictionaries, and compare the ancient and modern lexical significance, and discover the meaning of one word in the contextual phrases, and the study will follow the descriptive approach and Analytical Methodology. The study concluded that it was mentioned in the section of congratulations and conversion that the term “Barran Taqiyyan” includes semantic contextual meanings that differ according to the context, and that in a request in what is said in the answer to consolation and affliction, the term “Inshi'aab” came and was expressed in different terms and vocabulary that includes the same or near meaning, And that in a demand in thanksgiving, there are multiple expressions referring to the phrase (wa 'awlahu Bilhamd), and the meanings of this are closely related to different words that carry lexical meanings sometimes or contextual, and a request in excuses. The indications of the phrase (Thanbi wa 'in 'azuma) are mentioned with several meanings, and they came in light of the semantic lexical meaning, and a requirement Another in the request came the meaning of (du‟amah Min Da‟aim al Karam) in the context of praise in the original and the meanings for that came in different contexts in context, and a request in the strains and the phrase (Ma Taharrakat) were mentioned by it, in the sense that there was no contradiction in the suspicion of this stray that came with the description. |
