| Summary: | This research explores the most prominent literature of returning home in contemporary Palestinian poetry from four main aspects that are: right of return, homeland's features and details, longing and nostalgia for homeland, sacrificing by resistance, martyrdom and detention, and finally focusing on the poetic side -not the prose- of the contemporary Palestinian poets after the Nakbah. The research also aims to highlight the aesthetic aspects, artistic construction and poetic imagery in the contemporary Palestinian poems in terms of examining the partial and complete imagery with all its types, it also sought to address the intertextuality in religious, literary and historical in poems with all their aesthetic characteristics. The researcher adopted the indicative method, descriptive method and analytical method to stand on the artistic features and phenomena and aesthetic collocations which characterized the poet's works. The research concludes that, there was a diversity in the contents of literature of returning home in contemporary Palestinian poetry. Moreover, the poets were creative in shaping the elements of partial imagery in their descriptions. Furthermore, they excelled in excelled in depicting the image and making it closer to the minds of the readers through integrating the sensual components with their own experience. Additionally, the complete imagery was shown in their poetic works by using various artistic constructions, the poets made good use of their artistic and psychological competence to portray the conflict through a poetic vision which implies their paramount ability of expression and aesthetic depiction. Finally, the poets were keen to integrate the religious, literary and historical heritage in the poems due to their use of imageries implying holy connotations which are perceived as a key characteristic of their texts. |
