This study was designed to identify three key targets which are; the type and frequency of learning strategies used by the students; the relationship between grammar learning strategies and students' language achievement; as well as the significant differences based on students' educational background. The participants were 113 students majoring in Arabic language with different learning levels. The strategy used was assessed through 70 questionnaire items of the Grammar Learning Strategies Inventory (GLSI) designed by Pawlak (2018). The data were analysed using the Pearson correlation and Independent Sample t-test in the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). Analysis of the quantitative data revealed that the students used all four strategies in the medium range, with the social strategies were the most frequently used. The findings also indicated that there is a relationship between grammar learning strategies with students' language achievement, especially the metacognitive and cognitive strategies. However, this study found no significant difference between students from varying educational background in their use of the grammar learning strategies.
