الملخص: | E-books reprinted books that have been converted into a digital format, to be displayed on computer screens to be read. E-book is an important and innovative electronic resource, which is purported to replace the printed books. In this study, the researcher aims to investigate the factors that influence the usage of e-books among postgraduate students in IIUM. This can be examined by selecting the following variables: system quality, information quality, service quality, readiness, and user behaviour in using e-books. In addition, this study tries to investigate some issues based on the Technological Acceptance Model (TAM) designed by Davis, while employing a quantitative method. Survey questionnaires were used to collect data from IIUM postgraduate students. For this study, 500 questionnaires were distributed and 380 were returned. Analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). 10 hypotheses were raised and after testing them, it was found that six of the hypotheses were supported, while four were not. It should be noted that the overall findings of this study revealed that the model was fit. It also found that the factors were influencing the usage of e-books among postgraduate students and mediates the relationships between system quality and information on behaviour using e-books, while readiness did not mediate the relationship between service quality and behaviour in using e-books. |
