A total of 32 Year 1 Orang Asli students and four English teachers from two Orang Asli schools in Bera, Pahang participated in the study. A mixed-method design was employed for the purpose of data collection and four instruments were used, namely English tests for the LINUS2.0 Programme to identify the students' performance during pre- and post-tests, semi-structured interviews to gather information on teachers' perceptions towards the programme, a focused-group discussion to identify students' perceptions, and teaching observation to examine the teaching and learning through LINUS2.0 programme. The findings of the study indicate that there was a marked improvement of students' English language performance in the programme (statistically significant at p<0.001). It was also found that the higher the construct, the more difficult it was for the students to score. Students were also more motivated in view of fun and interesting learning activities promoting gradual scaffolding in the LINUS2.0 programme. Furthermore, there is an immediate need to employ English remedial teachers for the Orang Asli schools. Therefore, it is important for LINUS2.0 Programme to be continued to ensure the English language needs of Orang Asli students are fulfilled.
