| Summary: | Imam Razeen Bin Muawiyah Al-Abdari is regarded as one of the most famous scholars of the sixth century because of his great knowledge in the sciences of Hadith, Fiqh and History. He was known for his excellence and wisdom and he acted as a leading scholar. He is also recognized for his famous book Tajreed Al-Sihah wa Al-Sunan and his Ziyadat -Cast of Hadith. This research attempts to study and examine Imam Razeen's life and collect his Ziyadat which are narrated in the book of Iman and the book of Ilm. This research comprises of two parts; the theoretical part and the applicatory part. The first part is where the researcher talks about Imam Razeen Al-Abdari's life and his scholarly position among his contemporaries. Then, he elaborates regarding Ziydat and its related issues. As for the second part, the researcher compiles Imam Razeen's Ziyadat from different books of Hadith, performs Takhrij of his Ziyadat, and mentions their ranks depending on their texts and chains of narrators. In this study, the researcher has firstly used inductive method for finding out information about Imam Razeen and his life. Thereupon, he discusses the issues concerning terminology of Ziyadat, and those Ziyadat which are spread throughout the different books of Hadith. Secondly, he uses analytical methodology for determining the ranks of narrations and the grade of those Ziyadat. The researcher concludes that Imam Razeen is a savant of the sixth century. Most of the Ziyadat that he has included in his book do not have their chain of narrators and the narrations themselves were not mentioned in other books of Hadith. The remaining are either too weak or such that their weaknesses can be amended and the Sahih Ahadith are in a lesser quantity. |
