520 |a While the trend of increasing religiosity that is distancing Singaporeans from other communities is taking place, a study too found out that Singaporean adolescents know very little about other religions. Both are worrying situations for multi-religious and multi-ethnic society of Singapore. To deal with these problems, interfaith engagement needs to be reinforced. Before reinforcing interfaith engagement, Singaporeans, first, must be educated about the religions in Singapore, including about the minorities, like the religion of the Parsi community. However, in today's society the number of people who are interested in getting involved with interfaith activities is decreasing, which makes interfaith engagement as a sport looks unproductive. If all religious communities can work hand in hand in attracting their respective community members to be involved in interfaith engagement, to make interfaith engagement as an active sport should not be a problem. The aim of this study is to find out the religious bases of the Singapore's Parsi community and to examine whether these religious bases have any influence towards their involvement in interfaith engagement. The research question is answered through a library research, structured interview questions and a diary study. For the structured interview questions, random respondents were chosen to participate in it. The diary study was conducted over a few months observing and interacting with the Singapore's Parsi community. On this basis, it is recommended that social issues within the Singapore's Parsi community should be addressed as it plays significant effect in influencing their willingness to be involved in interfaith activities. Further research could be undertaken to identify other ways in promoting interfaith activities to the Singapore's Parsi community.
