總結:This research considers the depiction of women in the writings of the ‎Saudi novelist, writer and poet, Ghazi Abdul Rahman Al-Qosaibi (1940-‎‎2010). The researcher attempts to unveil the characteristics and ‎dimensions of this portrayal through a thorough study of three specific ‎novels; Shaqqat al-Hurriyyah (1999), Qissat al-Hubb (2001), and Salma ‎‎(2002), which was one of the last novels penned by the author. The ‎importance of the research manifests in the study of the literary works ‎authored by one of the most important literary figures in the Kingdom of ‎Saudi Arabia. The author was one of the few individuals who were ‎inclined towards the liberal ideology that appeared in the eighties. Having ‎held various professional positions throughout his life from media and ‎journalism to politics, he was a man of influence. This attests to the ‎compelling need of studying the works of individuals like Al-Qosaibi, as ‎to what caused them to adopt views unconventional to their society. The ‎research has been organized into five chapters and a conclusion. The ‎introduction and first chapter have been divided into three main sub-‎chapters. The first pertains to Al-Qosaibi and his life, the second discusses ‎his stature as a litterateur and the third sub-chapter illustrates the ‎unprecedented widespread of novels in Saudi Arabia today. Thereafter, the ‎three main chapters critically analyze the aforementioned stories from ‎three critical scopes pertaining to the image depicted of women before the ‎conclusions chapter.‎
