Description
Summary:This research investigates the impact of feedback on grammar in reading in Arabic as a second language as it is widely practised in enhancing the efficiency of the students and encouraging them in learning the second language. The respondents were 46 learners from the Department of Arabic Language and Literature at the International Islamic University Malaysia who were divided into two groups. Most of the problems in reading surfaced as a result of minimal grammatical knowledge. Two tests were conducted; pre- and post-tests for both groups, and several treatment classes were conducted on the experiment group. The researcher focused on several elements in this study, including knowledge of syntactic words; i'raab, correcting the mistakes and assimilation of the text content. The researcher discovered that feedback had a positive impact on the grammar and thereby improve the reading level of the respondents. T-tests results were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Science SPSS. The group that received treatment outperformed the control group that did not get any. This study upholds the idea that scientists see that grammar plays a critical role in reading.
