Summary:This research examines the subject of "hospitality services for expatriate lecturers in light of Maqasid al-Shari'ah". to achieve the purposes of shari'ah in the issue of hospitality. The significance of this subject is in the detection of the compatibility of the purposes of Shari'ah in hosting and contracts between them and their implications. The researcher did not find adequate study linking Maqasid al-Shari'ah and hospitality. The discussion of this research revolves on the concept of Shari'ah and their relevance, clarifying the concept of services in Islamic jurisprudence their types and relevance to expatriates, at the international Islamic University of Malaysia. The extrapolation of the subject is based on the sources and references that include ancient and modern research and articles. The researcher relied on interviews with incoming lecturers, questionnaires and the views of the relevant class. The information on the purposes and services, as well as the answers from interviews and questionnaires where analysed. The study found severalconclusions: that hospitality is not confined to catering, drinking and sleeping only, there are great effects of the hidden achievement of purposes of Maqasid al-Shari'ah, and the harmony and affection among people. The hospitality services for expatriate lecturers at the International Islamic University Malaysia relate to the purposes of Maqasid al-Shari'ah, such as the purpose of cooperation and interdependence in humanitarian issue, and hardship brings facilitation. Other results show the importance of hospitality as part of morals and ethics of Islam.
