Summary:This research studies the phonetic significance of the Amma chapter in the Holy Quran in terms of the vowel sound, root words, silence of letters, phonetic rules of Quranic recitation, word stress and intonation.The Amma chapter was selected in the study due to its unique position of being the last chapter in the Holy Quran. The phonetic study of the Amma chapter has a significant impact on the grammatical and syntactical understanding of common Arabic as compared to Quranic Arabic. The study employed the descriptive methodology of the Amma chapter.
