Summary:The subject of the research: "Meanings of verbs in the three-letter root and more in Surah al-Mu'minun a descriptive analytical study". This research aims to study the formulas of the three-letter root and more which are : )أَفْعَلَ، وفَعَّلَ، وفَاعَلَ (. The study revolves around the statement of the meanings of the actions of these weights and their root words, and this depends on research descriptive and analytical methodology in order to detect and analyse these formulas. All verbs contained in this Surah, of which have been collected consist of fifty-one (15) verbs in initial, with their three types of tenses (past, present and order). The past tense verbs are the most numerous, followed by the present tense, and imperative verb. Out of these three verbs, it is considered the most frequently verb found is )أَفْعَلَ (, followed by )فَعَّلَ (, and the least )فَاعَلَ (. The study showed that the three-letter root and more has many different meanings, and sometimes one verb may have two or three meanings.
