Summary:In 2016, the Employment Provident Fund (EPF) in Malaysia provided a voluntary fund called the Islamic Savings Fund, however there are many questions about this EPF Islamic Saving Fund and its procedures. The objective of this study is to achieve a set of objectives purposely to know the reality of the pension savings fund for workers in Malaysia, both traditional and Islamic, to know how the contract of the al-Wakalah / agency in the EPF Islamic Saving Fund is applied, and to explain how the investment is managed.This research used the qualitative method in reviewing the previous and current references, also interview with expert from the EPF Islamic Saving Fund in order to get accurate views on the procedures use in the Islamic Fund. This research reached several findings, the most important is that the Islamic Savings Fund is Shariah compliant, as the fund is adopting the al –Wakalah bil Isthismar contract. Through the al-Wakalah / agency contract, the EPF Islamic Saving Fund enjoys the mandate given by the clients in its legitimate investments to make profits pertaining to the aspects of investment operations without risk, whether in the Fund Manager level, the agent or by the savers as it is certainly guaranteed by the Malaysian Government. This research also concluded that the EPF Islamic Saving Fund is obligated to the Islamic Financial Services Law in Malaysia thus, making it complies with various requirements such as Shari'ah compliance and Shariah governance.
