520 |a The role of the tourist police is very important in the tourism sector in terms of providing information about tourism, providing services, and helping to solve problems during travel in Malaysia. Even so, language is a huge challenge faced by the tourist police and Arab tourists because it does not have a language that can be understood by both parties. Therefore, the objective of this study is to find out the needs of tourist police officers in learning Arabic. Secondly, to design Arabic learning modules for them. This study uses descriptive analysis method and uses two research instruments to collect data, namely questionnaire using Google form and distributed through social media and WhatsApp chat application. This questionnaire was distributed to 100 Arab tourists who came to Malaysia in 2015-2020. Analysis was performed using SPSS. Next, this study also interviewed 5 tourist police officers in Kuala Lumpur through telephone calls. The data obtained were analyzed using interpretative analysis method. This study has found that the tourist police officers preferred to learn Arabic language related to self-introduction, giving directions, providing information on tourism and to help solve problems related to criminal cases and punishment. Following this need, this study has created a module based on Addie modules, suitable to the needs and their level of proficiency. In short, Arabic language is very important in the tourism sector and needs to be learned by the tourist police officers for professional purposes.
