| 总结: | This research aims to study a sample of some of the essential Shari’ah issues raised in the operations of the "An-Noor Islamic Window", which was established in 2009 by the Sri Lankan conventional Bank of Ceylon (BOC), specifically in terms of the adequacy of its financing products for the needs of the Muslim minority. Also the extent of its independence and its impact on the aspect of its governance audit. The study focuses on financial products in the Islamic Window, namely murabaḥah, mudarabah, ijarah and wakalah. The researcher relied on the inductive approach in tracking the contents of the subject and collecting the scientific material and analytical and comparative methods in explanations, inferences, and discussions. The study found that the products of An-Noor Islamic Window do not meet the developmental needs in their objective dimensions, such as social, health, educational, and family, for the Muslim minority in the fields of the objectives of Shari’ah. Hence, An-Noor Islamic Window needs to develop its Islamic financial products through the experiences of Islamic Windows operated in other countries. The researcher recommends that An-Noor Islamic Window develop a strategic plan to expand its financial activities, as it is limited to providing only four products namely: murabahah li al-amir bi al-shira', ijarah muntahiah bi al-tamlik, mudarabah, and wakalah bi al-istithmar even though it has been in existence for more than a decade. The researcher also thinks that the management of the An-Noor Islamic Window should be separate from the general administration of the traditional Bank of Ceylon so that banking and financial activities can be done in accordance with Shariah rules in this field. |
