The current process of jewellery making faces various issues that can influence the cost of making these pieces or alter the time it takes to make these pieces, and in running a business it is important to find a balance that will allow in producing the product in a timely manner while remaining within or bellow budget. Jewellers need to avoid certain disagreeable states, such as the material getting too hot or too cold, the material getting stretched out or bent, the jointing ending up weak, or the soldering being messy. This explorative research aims to develop a new framework that integrates the 3D printing method (Fused Deposition Modelling) in making plastic-based contemporary jewellery with IGPs designs. The primary sources of data consisted of expert interviews (qualitative data) and a case study (qualitative and quantitative data), and the secondary source of data was from the literature review. The theory models used for data analysis were the domain positions and the value analysis. This research was able to achieve all objectives, and the findings of this research include determining the factors of the jewellery making process, clarifying the character of the different jewellery making processes, clarifying the factors influencing the contemporary jewellery industry, and developing a new framework for making jewellery with IGPs through 3D printing. 2023-05 Thesis http://shdl.mmu.edu.my/11849/ masters Multimedia University Faculty of Creative Multimedia (FCM) EREP ID: 11560
