Summary:Privatization is the act of reducing the role of government or increasing the role of the private institutions of society in satisfying people’s needs; it means relying more on the private sector and less on government. The study attempts to contribute to the present knowledge related to the privatization program by highlighting the program advantages in the economic reform process in Jordan. Data from 23 companies covering the period from 1996 to 2013 have been used to test the research hypotheses. The results are expected to give a better understanding of the understanding of the privatization policies and empowering Jordanian government to make serious improvements can be implemented and finally lead to enhancing the state owned enterprises’ contribution to the GDP of the country.
