Description
Summary:This research investigates interfacial adhesion properties and tribological characteristics of kenaf fibre reinforced polyurethane composite (KFRP). Single fibre pullout test (SFPT) was carried out to evaluate the interfacial adhesion characteristics of treated and untreated kenaf fibres embedded in neat polyurethane matrix. Interfacial adhesion and tribological properties of T-KFRP proves to be competitive substitute to synthetic fibre engineered composites for tribological application under dry and aqueous environments.
