Summary: | This study mainly attempted to achieve the following research objectives and sub-objectives:(1) To examine the extent of information system use, usage patterns and usage determinants among the four listed telecommunication companies in Sudan; (2) To propose and test a model that examines information system usage among the four listed telecommunication companies in Sudan; (2a) To investigate the effects of top management support, information system training, business-IT alignment, information centre services and information system investment on information systems usage among the four listed telecommunication companies in Sudan; and (2b) To determine the influence of information system usage on different strategic variables of the four listed telecommunication companies in Sudan, namely, product differentiation, process innovation, product innovation, organisational performance, competitive advantage and strategy formulation. The sample for this study consisted of information systems end-users who are currently employed by the four listed telecommunication companies in Sudan. |
