الملخص: | In general, ECG compression techniques should achieve the following conflicting objectives: (i) Reduce the amount of digitized ECG data as much possible with less implementation overheads associated with it, (ii) Preserve the diagnostic information content in the reconstructed signal. Even though a wide variety of ECG compression methods have been proposed in the literature, it still remains an active area of research, as better methods for achieving the conflicting requirements of greater compression ratio and better signal quality are in demand. Different researchers have demonstrated this by implementing various lossy, lossless, and controlled ECG compression methods and reporting improvements in compression efficiency and signal quality. |
