总结:In this competitive working environment, the significant and sustainability of an organisation is largely depends on the productivity and performance of the human capital of an organisation, i.e. employees. Not only the productivity and performance play important role, but how to stimulate the employee’s innovative behavior in workplace to reach high level of performance is also worth highlighted. In driving the employees to reach out their optimal potential level, the leadership of an organisation is playing crucial role. It is therefore important to identify type of leadership that can influence and enhance the innovative behavior of employees. A correlation quantitative research approach was adopted in this study. A total of 82 professionals/personnels working in the government linked companies constituted the sample. A structured questionnaire was collected to examine the correlation between the leadership style and employees’ innovative behaviour. The results show that transformational leadership is positively significant to idea generation and idea promotion; transactional leadership is positively significant to the innovative behaviour of employees as well as idea realisation; the laissez-faire leadership is less influential and negatively correlates to the idea realisation of employees.
