總結:Crisis management has become an interesting field of active research in recent years. Due to the increasing complexity of the various kinds of disaster and the different services being affected such as water supply, sewerage, electricity, roads, telecommunication, etc., sophisticated state of the art systems with special capabilities are nowadays required to adequately manage crisis situations. One enabling phenomenon critical to that effect is that the continuing advances being registered in technological growth are synchronous with the evolution of complex information systems, especially in emergency management systems. Specifically, the number of natural disasters has risen since 1900. This rise in the number of natural disasters, coupled with the steady population growth the world over, has resulted in the increased number of victims of these disasters. Whiles the development of tools and models for alleviating natural disaster risk remains a key issue in today’s globalized world, research in this direction is yet to reach maturity.
