Given the important role of talent management in success of universities, also in consider to the vital role of talents in the economic environment of Malaysia and their special place in Malaysian national plans, current study identifies the organisational characteristics and HR factors influencing talent management success within institutions of higher learning in Malaysia and investigate the mediation role of organisational commitment in relationship between talent management success and its antecedents. To achieve the above goals, an extensive literature review is done to develop a talent management framework that illustrates the relationships between organisational characteristics, HR factors, organisational commitment and talent management success.
