It integrates all the components of the value chain starting from raw material extraction, creating final product and delivering to final customer for consumption. In this century, supply chain management highly focuses on integration with the help of Web technology. Web technologies can support multiple factions. It can be used as medium of communication with business partners and external stakeholders. It provides a standard for using Internet-based applications. Web technologies can also transform traditional organisations into virtual organisations. Moreover, in the SCM context, effective diffusion of Web technologies highly depends on, which system is diffused among business partners in a supply chain. Therefore, the aim of this research is to provide a practical knowledge of Web technologies in Supply Chain Management regarding the factors affecting the diffusion and identify benefits obtained from this diffusion. Hence, this study developed a conceptual model based on four theories and empirical factors. 2011-04 Thesis http://shdl.mmu.edu.my/6287/ http://library.mmu.edu.my/diglib/onlinedb/dig_lib.php phd doctoral Multimedia University Faculty of Management |
