In this century, supply chain management highly focuses on integration with the help of Web technology. Web technologies can support multiple factions. It can be used as medium of communication with business partners and external stakeholders. It provides a standard for using Internet-based applications. Web technologies can also transform traditional organisations into virtual organisations. Although the benefits of Web technologies are well-acknowledged by many researchers, the diffusion of Web technologies is challenging. Moreover, in the SCM context, effective diffusion of Web technologies highly depends on, which system is diffused among business partners in a supply chain. Therefore, the aim of this research is to provide a practical knowledge of Web technologies in Supply Chain Management regarding the factors affecting the diffusion and identify benefits obtained from this diffusion.
