Internet is a potential source of authentic materials for EFL classes; however, there seems to be a dearth of research on the use of the authentic materials from the Internet as compared to the typical textbook materials in Iranian EFL context. Thus, authentic Internet-sourced materials (ISM) were used as a replacement for the typical reading comprehension textbooks. Enlightened by Constructivism as the learning theory guiding the research, this study provided the students an opportunity to share the responsibility for the instructional materials to be used in classroom. The intent of the study was to compare learners’ attitudes, motivation, and engagement while working with two types of instructional materials, namely textbook and ISM. 2017-04 Thesis http://shdl.mmu.edu.my/7184/ http://library.mmu.edu.my/diglib/onlinedb/dig_lib.php phd doctoral Multimedia University Faculty of Creative Multimedia
