总结:As the study on knowledge centric organizations is in its beginning stages with a growing trend, this study investigates the determinants of knowledge centric organizations to response to the contradicting definitions, statements and consideration in regard to knowledge centric organizations. Anchoring to the research gaps, this research identified four determinants of knowledge centric organizations, namely knowledge sharing, knowledge creation, employee empowerment and knowledge worker, and investigated the impact of these determinants on absorptive capacity dimensions and organizational performance of the knowledge centric small and medium enterprises (SMEs). With knowledge being used as the input and output in knowledge centric organizations, absorptive capacity plays a major role in the organization. Absorptive capacity refers to a firm's ability to create and arrange knowledge for developing operational capabilities to achieve a competitive advantage. Accordingly, a theoretical framework was developed from which the research questionnaire was established. The survey tool was pretested with the assistance of the industry experts. The model was examined using data collected from 324 MSC status SME organizations in Malaysia. The proposed Hypothesis were analyzed using Statistical package for the Social Science (SPSS 20.0) and the Structural Equation Modelling technique (Amos 21.0). Firstly, the outcomes demonstrated the relationships between determinants of knowledge centric organization and absorptive capacity and all hypothesized determinants were found to have positive effect on the absorptive capacity. Furthermore, the investigation on the relationships between all proposed determinants and organizational performance revealed that all determinants of knowledge centric organizations with the exception for employee empowerment and knowledge worker have positive and significant effect on organizational performance.
