Summary:The recorder playing techniques of fingering, breathing management and articulation, tonguing, and posture are the main and vital element of the art of playing the recorder. All of these elements are interconnected among each other. This research intended to investigate the importance and the effectiveness of the recorder playing technique using the numbering system that was thought to the students to produce accurate and quality pitch. A total of 20 students were tested in this research. Music Education Cuniculum in Malaysia had also implement the recorder playing technique as a basic requirement in the syllabus that must be taught to the children. This research had been constructed to show the benefits that can be gain by teaching the students the recorder fingering technique by using the numerical system in school. This research had been conducted in a month time frame. The students were given a pre and post test, which, the students had been taught the singing technique and then evaluated in the experiment by using the rubric instruments. The students were given treatments two times a week, minimum, and three times, if the situation called for it. The outcome of the treatment had been used as valuable legitimate evidence from the experiment. Data and research analysis were also the result from the research collection. The outcome from the research had legitimately proven the recorder playing technique using the numerical system in the teaching of music can be continue in future research.
